After looking at a few beauty blogs, beauty advertisements and fashion magazines, I noticed that they were only marketing to a specific type of woman. Although we are all different, we are all women and we relate to each other in numerous ways. The Beauty Is You Project is a portrait series that captures the essence of women of all ages. Each woman answers four questions and I create a makeup look for her based on what she feels is her most beautiful feature. This project is my way of showcasing that ALL women define Beauty, regardless of age, race, shape, or size. These portraits are to empower women of all ages to embrace their Beauty, and to not have it defined by what they see in the media.
