“Be happy with the young lady that you are.”

What do you feel is your most beautiful feature?

My most beautiful feature is my forehead and if you ever saw me, you probably would laugh. My forehead is considered a fivehead. It’s huge and it’s usually the butt of everyone’s jokes about me. It sounds weird saying that this is my most beautiful feature but I swear when I explain it, it’ll all make sense. As a young female, I was embarrassed of my forehead and did every hairstyle from bangs to a swoop to an extreme side part to hide it. It wasn’t until adulthood, post college, that I began to embrace my forehead. Now my go to hairstyle is a high bun or a twist out with a center part. Now to get back to the question, my forehead is my most beautiful feature because it is a feature that I had to learn to love. It took years for me to love it, but it’s mine and I wouldn’t be Reenee without it.

If you could go back and speak to your younger self what would you say to her?

I would tell my younger self to focus on your inner beauty. Be happy with the young lady that you are, focus on your strengths, don’t sweat the flaws, and watch that inner beauty expand to outer beauty.

“You can enhance beauty but you can’t truly take beauty away.”

What do you feel is your most Beautiful feature?

I believe my smile is my most beautiful feature. I want to light the room up and exude positive energy and beauty, each time I smile.

If you could go back to your younger self what would you say to her?

CUT YOUR HAIR OFF! It’s inconsequential You don’t need it! I promise!

 “Beauty to me is infinite…”

What does Beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me is infinite, It is happiness, it is confidence, it is dignity, it is wisdom, it is humor but most of all it is faith. I once read that “Faith in a loving and forgiving God will be the root of any and all manifestations of beauty.” I strongly believe in the message because even when I’m at my lowest, my faith always pulls me through.

If you could go back to your younger self what would you say to her?

I would probably quote Oscar Wilde “be yourself, everyone else is already taken” When I was younger I had a lot of self esteem issues I wasn’t the slimest, I had acne, and I hated myself. I spent so much time thinking about other people and how they would view me. I wasted so much time wanting to be someone else, if I only knew how much valuable self time I was wasting. If I had invested all that time in just wanting to be myself. Lord knows how much more futher I would be in life.
